Prep Time

40 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 2 pizzas

For the dough:
300g strong plain flour
7g instant yeast (quick rise)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon olive oil
200ml lukewarm water

For the topping:
4 tablespoons simple tomato sauce
200g SMUG grated cheese
2 tablespoons sweet caramelised onion chutney
6 thin slices of prosciutto
A handful of rocket to serve (optional)

Prepare the pizza dough:
In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the centre, then pour in 200ml of warm water and the olive oil.
Combine everything with a wooden spoon until it forms a soft dough. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes to obtain a smooth texture. Form it into a ball and return to the bowl, cover it with a teatowel, and let it rise in a warm spot for 20 minutes.

Once the dough has risen, preheat the oven to 220ºC – 230ºC. Transfer the risen dough onto a floured surface and divide into two portions. Using a rolling pin, roll out each portion into a circle or rectangle, the size of your baking sheet. Place the flattened dough on a non-stick baking sheet.

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the pizza dough. Then, sprinkle the grated SMUG cheese on top, add small dollops of caramelised onion chutney, and finally place the slices of prosciutto on top.

Bake the pizzas for 12-15 minutes or until the dough turns crisp.

Once done, drizzle the pizza with a bit of olive oil and add fresh rocket before serving.
