How do you measure your lower carbon claim on your packaging? Smug Dairy measures its lower carbon footprint using Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) conducted by our friends the sustainability experts HowGood. The results of these LCAs are available here.

We regularly test our Smug Dairy products to confirm they have reduced saturated fat then their dairy counterparts.
Where do you source your milk from for SMUG Dairy?
We make sure to source our milk from local farms close by to our production plants.
What can I do with your packaging after I’m done with it?
We’re passionate about making delicious food and drinks, but also about minimising our environmental impact.

Can SMUG Dairy products be frozen?
- SMUG Blended Oat & Dairy Cheese, Butter and Milk is not suitable for freezing
- SMUG Blended Oat & Dairy Salted Spreadable Butter is suitable for home freezing but ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase.
How long will SMUG Dairy products stay fresh in the fridge once opened?
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Cheese can be consumed within 3 days of opening.
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Milk should be consumed within 3 days of opening.
- Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Cheese should be consumed within 3 days of opening

- The Smug Salted Blended Oat & Butter Block is manufactured within the UK.
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Milk is manufactured within the UK
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Spreadable Butter is made in Ireland, in a factory that makes dairy and non-dairy spreads.
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Cheese is made in Ireland and packed in Northern Ireland
Are SMUG Dairy products gluten free?
- Smug cheese does not contain Gluten, as Gluten Free Oat flour is used within the product.
- The Smug Salted Blended Oat & Butter Block does not contain Gluten, as Gluten Free Oat flour is used within the product.
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Milk does not contain Gluten, as Gluten Free Oats are used within the product.

No because they contain cow’s milk.
What are the ingredients in SMUG Dairy products?
- The Smug Salted Blended Oat & Butter Block contains Butter, Rapeseed oil, Oat drink made from Water, Salt, Gluten Free Oat Flour, Fava bean protein, Vitamin B12; and Vitamin E, Vitamin A & D.
- The Smug Blended Oat & Dairy Milk contains Semi-skimmed Milk, Oat drink made from Water, Gluten Free Oats, Chicory Root Fibre, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Stabiliser: Gellan Gum, Vitamin D2, vitamin B2, Iodine, and Vitamin B12.
- Butter (50%) (Milk), Rapeseed oil, Oat Drink (24%) (Water, Gluten Free Oat Flour, Salt, Fava bean protein, Vitamin B12), Colour (Carotenes), Vitamin E, Vitamin A & D. For allergens, see ingredients in bold.
- Smug Cheese: Extra Mature Cheddar (42%) (milk), Oat Drink (17% ) (Water, Gluten Free Oat Flour, Acacia Fibre, Natural Flavouring), Water, Milk Protein, Rapeseed Oil, Butter (milk), Modified Starch, Chicory Root Fibre, Salt, Acidity Regulator: Lactic Acid, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Vitamin D.
Do SMUG Dairy products contain artificial colours, flavours or ingredients?
SMUG dairy products do not contain artificial colours, flavours or ingredients.
Do the SMUG Dairy products you use palm oil?
None of our Smug products contain Palm oil
Can you eat SMUG Dairy products if you are pregnant?
Yes but we recommend you also check with your local GP when it comes to your diet when pregnant.
